We all have somewhere we go when we need time to think, escape, retreat. Sometimes the place doesn't exist - the place can be in the imagination - and i drop in from time to time when i listen to music. I've tried to capture some glimpses of that world through writing songs that i wanted to hear and play. Music is about sharing, and about creating something special. The kind of stuff i write isn't necessarily the same as the music i listen to or buy - but i hope you'll hear it, remember it, sing it and take it to your heart. The subject matter is simple - feelings - about the changing seasons, about relationships, love, loneliness, happiness.
I've spent over a year recording (and much longer writing) my first album and for the first time there is some consistency to the songs and who knows, maybe a story to tell someday. It's been a huge effort to undertake this solo project while working full time and trying to 'get by' (like most of us) in this disposable, consumable world we live in, but it's been a superb experience - helped along by the continuing inspiration of friends and fellow musicians. The album is now available from CD Baby right now (with clips of most of the songs) and you can hear a few full tracks on MySpace too. I'm looking forward to you hearing my songs and coming to see me when i continue playing the album live. I'm constantly updating the site so please have a look around and listen to the samples, and if you'd like to hear more, please buy the album!
